El-Sisi opened the meeting by congratulating the Egyptian people and the Armed Forces on this historic occasion, praising their efforts to safeguard security and stability across all strategic directions, according to a presidential statement.

He paid tribute to Egypt’s martyrs, who sacrificed their lives to ensure Egypt’s victory against Israel and end Tel Aviv's occupation of the Sinai Peninsula. It also paved the way for the 1979 Egypt-Israel peace treaty, signed in Washington by President Anwar El-Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, following the 1978 Camp David Accords.
El-Sisi emphasized that the sacrifices of the Egyptian people during the October War remain the foundation of the country’s pride, progress, and security.
The meeting reviewed ongoing regional and international developments and their implications for Egypt’s national security.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, General Abdel-Meguid Saqr, presented a report on the Armed Forces’ missions, their role in protecting Egypt’s borders, and cooperation with ministries and state institutions in implementing sustainable development plans across various sectors.
