Egypt, Saudi Chiefs of Staff discuss military cooperation

Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Ahmed Khalifa concluded an official visit to Saudi Arabia, where he co-chaired with Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili the closing session of the 11th meeting of the Egyptian-Saudi Military Cooperation Committee.

Khalifa praised the level of coordination and integrated cooperation within the committee, highlighting the deep-rooted ties between both countries and the alignment of military relations in supporting regional security and stability.

For his part, Al-Ruwaili emphasised Saudi Arabia’s commitment to expanding military cooperation with Egypt to further strengthen the capabilities of the Egyptian and Saudi armed forces amid current regional and global challenges.

The joint military committee’s meetings resulted in an agreement to enhance military cooperation between the Egyptian and Saudi armed forces across various sectors.

The session also concluded with the signing of the minutes of the Egyptian-Saudi Military Cooperation Committee, in the presence of senior military leaders from both nations.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, Khalifa received an official welcome ceremony, including an honour guard inspection and the playing of the national anthems of both countries.
