The meeting, which began with an official reception and the playing of both national anthems, focused on ways to enhance military cooperation and exchange expertise between the armed forces of the two countries.
Lt. Gen. Khalifa expressed his appreciation for the strong ties between the Egyptian and Spanish armed forces, praising ongoing efforts to expand areas of defence collaboration.
For his part, Admiral López Calderón commended Egypt’s consistent role in promoting regional security and stability and expressed hope for further cooperation between the two nations’ armed forces in the coming period.
