The meeting is part of the Armed Forces General Command’s commitment to maintaining ongoing communication with its personnel to unify perspectives on issues related to Egypt’s national security.
Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa and several senior commanders also attended the meeting.
At the beginning of the event, Commander of the Border Guard Forces Major General Osama Abdel Hamid Dawood expressed gratitude to the Armed Forces General Command for its continuous support, which enables the Border Guard to fulfil its mandated missions with efficiency and professionalism.
He affirmed that Border Guard personnel will remain at the highest levels of vigilance and readiness, sacrificing all that is precious to safeguard the nation’s borders and territorial integrity.
General Saqr honoured distinguished members of the Border Guard Forces in recognition of their efforts in thwarting numerous infiltration and smuggling attempts and protecting the state’s borders across all strategic directions.
The defence minister also conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the Border Guard fighters.
He praised the achievements made by the Border Guard in recent months, stressing the importance of maintaining peak levels of efficiency and combat readiness, enhancing technical and physical performance through continuous training, and sustaining high morale.
He underscored that defending the homeland is a sacred duty requiring constant preparedness for potential challenges. He affirmed that the Armed Forces will continue to sacrifice and give tirelessly to safeguard Egypt’s security and stability.
