Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, who led a high-level military delegation that included the commander of the Egyptian Navy, toured the exhibition showcasing the latest developments in naval manufacturing and maritime defence technology.
He praised the event’s high level of organization and the wide participation of international exhibitors and companies, according to a statement by the military spokesman.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Lieutenant General Khalifa and the Egyptian delegation, in the presence of Egypt’s ambassador to Qatar, met with Lieutenant General Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Mannai, chief of staff of the Qatari Armed Forces.
The meeting discussed several issues of mutual interest, particularly in the context of military cooperation between the Egyptian and Qatari armed forces.
The Egyptian army chief of staff highlighted the strong ties between Egypt and Qatar and stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in various military fields.
For his part, the Qatari army chief of staff expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s participation in the exhibition and reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to strengthening military cooperation between the two countries.
The statement added that Egypt’s participation reflects its efforts to keep pace with rapid technological developments in global weapons systems, especially in maritime defence and security, and to enhance cooperation with friendly nations.
