Egyptian, Turkish air forces launch joint 'Anatolian Eagle 2026' exercise
Egyptian and Turkish air forces have launched the joint Anatolian Eagle 2026 exercise in Türkiye, with the participation of multirole fighter aircraft from Egypt, Turkey and Azerbaijan, as well as a NATO airborne early warning aircraft, the Egyptian Armed Forces said on Saturday.

The multinational exercise is being held over several days at an air base in Turkey as part of efforts to strengthen military cooperation between the Egyptian and Turkish armed forces.
The exercise began with a series of theoretical lectures aimed at unifying operational concepts and exchanging training expertise among the participating personnel.
The drills will also include a number of joint air sorties designed to sharpen the operational skills of the participating air forces and enhance their ability to carry out assigned missions efficiently under various combat scenarios.
In addition to Egypt and Turkey, the exercise includes the participation of Azerbaijan's air force and a NATO airborne early warning aircraft.
According to the Egyptian military, the exercise reflects the growing military cooperation between the armed forces of Egypt and Turkey and forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen defence ties between the two countries.
