Egypt to see drop in temperatures starting Wednesday

Egypt is set to witness moderate weather marked with a noticeable drop in temperatures from Wednesday until Monday, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).

Cold weather is expected to hit northern Egypt and North Sinai in the evenings over the coming days.

Fog is expected on agricultural roads and highways close to bodies of water leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, northern coastal areas, the Suez Canal cities, and Sinai.

There is a 20 percent chance of light rainfall in some areas along the northern coast on Wednesday and Thursday, the EMA said.

Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the northern coast are expected to see highs ranging from 26 to 28 degrees Celsius and lows of 19-20 from Wednesday to Monday. The country's south is expected to witness highs of 29-35 degrees and lows of 19-22 degrees.
