Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mostafa Waziri said that the new buses are part of the first stage of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’ strategy for digitalisation and service development provided to visitors at 30 archaeological sites.

According to the ministry, 20 buses have been provided at both sites, with 12 currently operating at the Valley of the Kings and eight at Hatshepsut Temple in Deir Al-Bahari.

According to news reports, the ministry will expand the use of eco-friendly electric buses across other archaeological sites in the upcoming days, including the Saladin Citadel in Cairo.
