The Public Relations team at the airport welcomed the passengers and presented souvenirs to them, wishing them a good stay and entertainment among the old and modern attractions of Egypt.

NAC Airport is built over 5,000 square metres with dozens of buildings and two terminals.

It was inaugurated by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi in June 2020.

Egypt was keen in the past few months to work on attracting foreign investors to the country whether through incentives or through economic reforms above the issuing of the State Ownership Policy document that determines the state's presence in the economic sectors and seeks to enhance the private sector's participation in public investments.

In August 2022, Egypt ranked third among Arab countries in terms of foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows in 2021 with $5.4 billion. The sum represents 16.4 percent of total FDI inflows to the region.
