Head of the Egyptian Federation of Hot Air Ballooning Companies in Luxor Ahmed Aboud stated in a press release that they launched weather balloons after ensuring that wind conditions were within safe levels.

Hot air balloon tours are a must-try for tourists visiting Luxor, as they offer a chance to explore the ancient wonders of the city from a unique and unforgettable perspective.

Nestled amongst the mesmerising Karnak and Luxor temple complexes and the tombs of the Valley of the Kings, Luxor offers visitors panoramic views of the lush green agricultural fields and the majestic temples of ancient Egypt.

In mid-April, Chairman of the Cultural Tourism Marketing Committee Mohamed Othman stated that the tourist season in Luxor and Aswan has been “exceptional” in the first quarter of 2023, with a 22 percent increase in the number of tourists compared to the same period last year, according to the state-owned Middle East News Agency.

Additionally, tourists are spending 18 to 20 percent more than the previous year.
