The museums include the October War Panorama in Nasr City, along with the three military museums located at Al-Alamein, Port Said, and Saladin Citadel, the statement said.

The military spokesperson emphasized that this initiative will promote military and national awareness among the youth. It aims to acquaint them with the valor and heroism displayed by Egyptians in the Armed Forces, as well as their sacrifices in defence of the nation's honour, the spokesman said.

Additionally, the Cabinet declared Thursday, 5 October as a paid holiday for public sector employees.

This year, Egypt celebrates the 50th anniversary of its historic triumph over Israel, a victory that led to the liberation of Sinai and was achieved under the leadership of the late President Anwar El-Sadat.
