According to the Egyptian Airports Company's official statement, the flight comes within the framework of Egypt's Ministry of Civil Aviation’s efforts to attract tourists from new destinations during the winter season.

Furthermore, Ahmed Mansour, Board Chairman of the Egyptian Airports Company, directed providing all possible services to the flight's crew and passengers and facilitating all procedures.

Early in October, LOT Polish Airlines announced it would begin operating daily direct flights from Cairo International Airport (CAI) to Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport (WAW) from 29 October to 30 March 2024.

In September, Egypt’s Ministry of Aviation announced that Luxor International Airport is set to welcome increased European arrivals during the winter season.

Egypt’s tourism revenues hit a record high of $13.6 billion in FY2022/2023, up by 26.8 percent from $10.7 billion in FY2021/2022, according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

Tourism is one of Egypt’s key sources of foreign currency, along with remittances from Egyptians abroad, the Suez Canal, and direct foreign investments.
