EMITT 2025, one of the top five tourism exhibitions worldwide, will be held from 5 to 7 February in Istanbul, a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities read.

The Egyptian pavilion is attracting significant attention due to its design, inspired by ancient Egyptian temple architecture, and interactive activities showcasing Egypt’s rich cultural heritage.

Visitors have enjoyed henna painting sessions and promotional films highlighting Egypt’s tourist attractions.

After inaugurating the pavilion, Fathy toured the exhibit and engaged with the Egyptian exhibitors, noting a significant increase in participation from Egypt’s private tourism sector. This coincides with increased inbound tourism and the growing influx of Turkish travellers to Egypt.

According to its website, EMITT draws around 30,000 industry professionals and travellers annually. It also offers new and exciting tourism opportunities from global destinations and travel service providers.

EMITT is a key business platform for the Turkish and global travel sectors, offering networking and cooperation opportunities.

It features country pavilions, travel destinations, seasonal tourism, hotels, tour operators, and travel agencies.

On the sidelines of the event, Minister Fathy also met with his Turkish counterpart, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, and they signed a tourism memorandum of understanding (MoU).

According to the statement, the Egyptian minister emphasized that Turkey is one of the most promising markets for Egyptian tourism.

Additionally, Fathy received 152 antiquities that had been smuggled out of Egypt and later seized by Turkish authorities.
