According to a statement by the Ministry of Health and Population, a fully equipped medical clinic has been set up inside the museum, featuring the latest diagnostic and emergency technologies, including cardiology, ultrasound, and oxygen systems.
The clinic will be staffed by a full medical team specializing in intensive care, emergency medicine, burns, and plastic surgery.
The plan also includes five mobile medical service vehicles covering internal medicine, surgery, and radiology.
The museum site is directly linked to the health ministry's central operations room and Giza’s event management command centre for real-time coordination.
The ambulance coverage plan provides eight on-site ambulances, two rescue scooters, golf carts, and eight dedicated rescue teams operating inside the museum complex.
Beyond the museum grounds, 15 ambulances will be stationed in the surrounding area, while 50 more will be positioned along main access roads to ensure quick response and patient transfer.
The medical evacuation network will operate on three levels of readiness, with nearby hospitals designated to receive critical cases. These include Sheikh Zayed Specialist Hospital, Mabra Misr Al-Qadima, Al-Agouza Hospital, and Nasser Institute Hospital, ensuring full coverage across western Cairo, the statement added.
The plan comes as Egypt prepares for one of its most anticipated cultural events in decades, the official opening of the world’s largest archaeological museum, which is expected to attract world leaders, international media, and thousands of visitors from around the globe.
