The online platform was launched in tandem with the start of the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), which runs from 6 to 18 November in Sharm El-Sheikh city.

The platform showcases the strategy Egypt is adopting regarding transition to green economy, the IDSC noted.

The platform comprises infographics showing the world's ecological footprint as well as Egypt's national green projects, including electric cars charging stations and Egyptian hotels recognised as green.

The platform also details the Egyptian presidential social initiative Haya Karima (Decent Life), which is dedicated to improve standards of living, infrastructure, and services and targets 58 percent of Egypt’s 102-million population who live in 4,658 villages across the country.

COP27 is held under the title Together for Implementation, with hopes high to translate climate pledges into action and to ensure commitments on financing climate action in developing states are fulfilled.
