An Egyptian delegation from the presidential office headed to the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa on Wednesday to prepare for Mohamed Morsi’s visit next week.
Morsi will be visiting Ethiopia to participate in the African Union summit.
According to airport sources, the delegation is composed of seven members headed by Hisham El-Eisawy. The delegation is expected to meet with several Ethiopian officials as well as the African Union commission.
Morsi’s visit will be the first for an Egyptian president to Ethiopia since the assassination attempt against former president Hosni Mubarak in 1995.
Morsi travelled to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday on the first of a series of foreign trips over the coming weeks.
