The NEA said that it accepted the applications of Abdel-Fattah Said Hussein Khalil El-Sisi, Mohamed Farid Saad Zahran, Abdel Sanad Hassan Mohamed Yamama and Hazem Mohamed Sulaiman Mohamed Omar.
According to the NEA’s statement, the Authority’s Nomination Review Committee concluded in a report that only these four nominations fulfilled the constitutional and legal conditions and requirements for a presidential bid.
In light of the committee's report, the NEA's Board of Directors, after deliberation, issued a decision to accept these requests.
Voting in Egypt will take place from 10 to 12 December. Egyptians abroad will cast their votes on 1-3 December.
The final result will be announced on 18 December if no run-off is required.
