Mahmoud Bassiouni, head of Cairo-based ANDMHR, said that the report will reveal the degree to which the press adhered to the standards set by the National Elections Commission and the extent of their bias and professionalism in their coverage of candidates.

Bassiouni stated that the NGO is finalizing its report on the electoral campaign period, which ran from 9-29 November, after which the electoral silence period began.

The report will assess the level of bias or professionalism in the coverage of the candidates, with a focus on the digital accounts of the following newspaper websites: Al-Ahram, Al-Youm Al-Sabea, Al-Wafd, and Rassd.

The websites of Egyptian Channel One, Extra Channel, CBC, and ONTV will also be monitored, as well as the websites of Al-Sharq, Makmaleen, and Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed.

The report will include quantitative and qualitative monitoring of publications on these sites, with a team of researchers following up on and monitoring media materials related to electoral propaganda, he added.

ANDMHR has also praised the initiative of the United Media Services Company to grant each presidential candidate 100 minutes of advertising in all its media outlets. The network believes that this decision will ensure that all candidates have an equal opportunity to reach voters.

The network has also expressed its appreciation for the efforts of the Supreme Elections Commission, which has facilitated ANDMHR's mission to monitor the presidential elections.
