The weather conditions will include rain, strong winds and a 3-4 degree Celsius decline in temperature across various areas north of Cairo, according to the EMA.
On Saturday and Sunday, several areas on the northern coast and north Nile Delta (Salloum, Marsa Matrouh, Alexandria, Behaira and Kafr Al-Sheikh) will have a 60-70 percent chance of moderate to heavy rainfall and possible hail.
As a result, Behaira, Alexandria, Matrouh, Damietta, Kafr Al-Sheikh and Daqahliya governorates announced that they are suspending public and private schools on Saturday.
Meanwhile on Sunday, the south Nile Delta and eastern parts of the country (Daqahliya, Gharbiya, Sharqiya, Mounfiya, Damietta, Port Said and Arish) will also witness a 60-70 per cent chance of moderate to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
Various areas of Cairo, canal cities and north Upper Egypt will witness a 40-50 percent chance of moderate to heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.
On Monday, the northern coast will witness a 30 percent chance of light to moderate rainfall.
On Tuesday, some highways to and from Cairo, the Nile Delta, northern coast and canal cities, as well as middle Sinai, will witness morning mist from 5 to 7 am.
