Egypt’s Meteorological Authority warns of rain on north coast Monday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said that moderate rainfall is expected on the north coast and north Nile Delta on Monday in different periods of the day.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the EMA warned of a mist, possibly thick, “from 5 to 7 am” Monday on some highways to and from Cairo, Nile Delta, north coasts, Suez Canal cities, central Sinai and North Sinai.

Winds will be active on the north coast and Nile Delta, the EMA said.

The country is expected to witness on Monday moderate temperatures during the day in Greater Cairo, Nile Delta and north Upper Egypt and cold temperatures during the day on the north coast.

South Sinai and south Upper Egypt are expected also to see warm weather during the day, the EMA added.

At night, Egypt is expected to witness very cold weather that reaches the point of frost in central Sinai.

The EMA added that the navigation in the Mediterranean will be stable on Monday after difficulty over the past two days.

According to the EMA, Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will see highs of 19 degrees and lows of 10 degrees on Monday

The country's northern coast is expected to see highs of 18 degrees and lows of 12.

South Sinai is expected to see highs of 23 and lows of 16.

Northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 19 and lows of 7, while southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 20 to 31 and lows of 8.
