Egypt to see gradual rise in temperatures, warm days this week: EMA

Egypt will see a gradual rise in temperatures nationwide and warm weather during daytime this week, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts.

However, all parts across the nation will see extremely cold nights, the EMA warned.

Egypt has witnessed one of its coldest winters this year.

Light rainfall is expected on the far west of the country on Tuesday, and on the northern coast and north Lower Egypt on Wednesday and Thursday, the EMA said.

Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will see highs of 19-24 degrees Celsius and lows of 10-12 degrees until next Saturday.

The northern coast is expected to see highs of 17-22 degrees and lows of 10-12, while South Sinai will see highs of 22-27 and lows of 14-15.

The northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 20-27 and lows of 8-10, while southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 27-31 and lows of 11-12.
