The country’s west coast and north Nile Delta are expected to witness moderate rainfall, whereas the east coast will witness light to moderate rainfall at night, according to a statement by the EMA.
The Greater Cairo region and south Nile Delta may witness light rainfall at night.
Meanwhile, the north coast may witness high winds, while the Greater Cairo region, Nile Delta, South Sinai and southern parts of the country may witness dusty winds.
North Egypt and north Upper Egypt will witness cold weather while south Upper Egypt will be warmer.
Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt are set to see highs of 17 degrees and lows of 8 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
The north coast, however, is expected to see highs of 15 degrees and lows of 11, while South Sinai will experience highs of 23 and lows of 14.
North Upper Egypt is expected to witness highs of 18 degrees and lows of 8, while southern Upper Egypt is set to see highs of 23 and lows of 12.
This wave of bad weather is caused by a shallow depression on the Mediterranean according to the EMA.
Alexandria governorate has already announced that it will suspend schools on Wednesday ahead of the bad weather.
The EMA added that starting 26 March the country will witness a gradual increase in temperature.
