Egypt’s planning minister participates in second Women in Government Forum in Dubai

Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said took part on Monday in the second edition of the Women in Government Forum that is being held on the side-lines of the World Government Summit 2022 (WGS2022) that will run from 29 to 30 March in Dubai.

The forum is bringing together more than 100 female leaders and decision-makers from around the world to discuss women’s role at the WGS and the necessity of empowering the next generation of female leaders inside governments.

According to a statement issued by the planning ministry, the gathering is meant to increase women’s participation in all government-related activities. It also seeks to encourage governments to prepare a leading female generation with the aim of fostering women’s opportunities in top-governmental posts.

The WGS2022 will convene high-level government officials, including Arab ministers of civil service, in ministerial meetings and panel discussions.

The summit will highlight a report on the state of Arab administration drafted by top experts based on interviews conducted with 2,000 civil servants across the region.
