Extremely hot weather will prevail during the daytime across Lower and Upper Egypt starting Saturday — which marks the first day of the holy month — until Thursday, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said.

The North Coast and South Sinai will also be witnessing hot weather during the daytime over the course of the coming week.

However, weather will remain cold during night-time in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, and northern Upper Egypt. However, South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt will be experiencing mild weather during the night.

Parts of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the country’s northeast, the cities of the Suez Canal, Central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt are also expected to experience dusty weather on Saturday.

Based on the EMA’s estimates, Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will see highs ranging from 31 to 36 degrees Celsius and lows of 15-19 degrees until next Thursday.

The North Coast, which is set to see highs of around 36 and lows of 16 on Saturday, will witness a remarkable drop in temperatures on Sunday and Monday to record highs of 26-27 and lows of 15. Temperatures, however, will start rising again on Tuesday to reach highs of 36 and lows of 18 by Wednesday and Thursday.

Furthermore, South Sinai is expected to see highs of 33-37 degrees and lows of 20-22.

Meanwhile, northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 37-38 and lows of 17-20, while southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 40-43 and lows of 20-23.
