Egypt to see cooler weather on Wednesday: EMA

Cooler weather is expected in most of Egypt on Wednesday, after three days of extremely hot weather, especially in Greater Cairo and the North Coast.

A statement by the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecast moderate weather during Wednesday in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, and northern Upper Egypt.

South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt will see warm weather, however.

Moderate and cool weather is expected to prevail across the country at night on the same day, added the EMA.

According to the EMA, temperatures in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will reach 25 degrees Celsius during the day, down from over 30 degrees over the past few days, and 16 degrees at night.

The North Coast, however, is expected to see highs of 21 degrees and lows of 14, while South Sinai will experience highs of 29 and lows of 19.

Northern Upper Egypt is expected to witness highs of 26 degrees and lows of 14 degrees, while southern Upper Egypt is set to see highs of 34 and lows of 19.

The temperature is predicted to remain under 30 degrees in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt and under 25 in the North Coast until the end of the week. The lows will range from 14-16 degrees.

Additionally, South Sinai is expected to experience highs of 29-31 and lows of 19-22, while northern Upper Egypt is expected to witness highs of 29-31 degrees and lows of 14-16 degrees, while southern Upper Egypt is set to see highs of 34-37 and lows of 19-22 degrees.

The EMA also predicted that winds will be active across the country, including Greater Cairo.
