50,000 Egyptians visited archaeological sites, museums on 1st day of Eid El-Fitr

More than 50,000 Egyptians visited a number of museums and archaeological sites in different parts of Egypt on the 1st day of Eid El-Fitr according to the electronic booking system in those sites , MENA reported.

As many as 25,000 visitors visited the Pyramids and 3,700 went to Salaheldin Citadel.
Also, thousands of Egyptians visited Al-Azhar Mosque and the mosques of Sultan Hassan and El-Refaie.
In Alexandria, the Citadel of Qaitbay received more than 5,000 visitors.
Egypt's cabinet has designated the period between 30 April and 5 May a paid holiday for public employees, extending from Labour Day, which fell on 1 May, to the end of Eid El-Fitr holidays.
