Temperatures climb to upper 30s across Egypt this week: EMA

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) announced that Egypt will see temperatures in the upper 30s from Saturday to Thursday, as the heat wave that started last week persists.

In statement released on Friday, the EMA stated that throughout this week Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, Upper Egypt, and South Sinai will see high temperatures during the day and cooler temperatures at night.

Greater Cairo and the the Nile Delta are expected to see highs ranging from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius and lows of 22 to 23 degrees from Saturday till Thursday, according to the EMA.

Meanwhile, the North Coast is expected to see highs of 27 to 37 degrees and lows of 19 to 21, while South Sinai will see highs of 35 to 38 and lows of 26.

Additionally, northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 37 to 40 and lows of 24 to 25, while southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 41 to 43 and lows of 26.
