Over the coming week, the EMA expects warm weather in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the North Coast, hot temperatures in northern Upper Egypt and South Sinai, and extremely hot weather in southern Upper Egypt during the daytime.
However, temperatures will be moderate nationwide during nighttime, the EMA noted.
Windy weather will prevail over the coming week in some areas in the country. On Friday, navigation may be disturbed in the Mediterranean as wind speed is expected to hit 40-50 km/hour and waves can reach 2-2.5 meters high.
From Friday to Wednesday, Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will see highs of 28-30 degrees Celsius and lows of 20-22.
The North Coast will see highs of 27 to 28 degrees and lows of 21-22.
South Sinai will experience highs of 32 to 34 degrees and lows of 25 degrees, according to the EMA.
Northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 29-31 degrees and lows of 19-20, while southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 34-38 degrees and lows of 23-24.
