Jailed media tycoon Mohamed El-Amin dead after months of medical complications
Media tycoon and businessman Mohamed El-Amin passed away on Sunday morning in Al-Salam International Hospital after suffering months of medical complications, member of parliament and journalist Mostafa Bakry said on his Twitter account on Sunday.

El-Amin was serving a three-year prison sentence in Wadi Al Natroun Centre for Correction and Rehabilitation for sexually assaulting seven underage girls at an orphanage he established in Upper Egypt.
The businessman suffered from cancer and was taken to the hospital a few months ago, local media reported.
El-Amin, who made his wealth in Kuwait, became a media mogul after 2011 when he founded a host of private satellite channels, including the CBC group and Modern network.
El-Amin sold his network to United Media Services several years ago.
