A magnitude 5 earthquake hits near in El-Tor city in South Sinai, no casualties or damage reported
A 5 magnitude earthquake hit 26 kilometres southwest of the capital of South Sinai in El-Tor city, but there were no casualties or damage reported, said the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG).

The earthquake occurred at 2:11am, Cairo time, the NRIAG said in a statement.
Residents did not feel the quake, it added.
