Frost expected in Central Sinai this week

Frost is expected on some regions of Central Sinai alongside extremely cold nighttime weather across southern regions of Egypt through Friday, announced the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) on Saturday.

Warm weather will continue, however, in South Sinai during daytime. While Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, and northern Upper Egypt will experience moderate days this week, the EMA confirmed.

Northern regions of the country until Greater Cairo will see regular cold nighttime weather and all regions nationwide will experience cold weather in the early daytime hours, the EMA said.

Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will see highs of 20-23 degrees Celsius and lows of 11 degrees Celsius. The North Coast will experience highs of 20-21 degrees and lows of 11-12 degrees.

South Sinai will see highs of 24-25 degrees and lows of 14-15 degrees.

Northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 21-25 degrees and lows of 6 degrees, while southern Upper Egypt will see highs 25-28 and lows 10-11 degrees.

Morning mist is expected on roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, Suez Canal cities, Central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt through Thursday, the EMA announced.

The morning mist may be thick on roads leading to and from the eastern regions of the North Coast, Suez Canal cities, Central Sinai, and Northern Upper Egypt this week.
