Warm temperatures in South Sinai and Upper Egypt all week: EMA

Temperature highs in Sharm El-Sheikh, South Sinai and Luxor-Aswan in Upper Egypt will average in the mid to upper 20s, and the Greater Cairo area will experience highs of around 20 degrees Celsius throughout the week.

Sporadic light rain is expected on Sunday along the northern coast from Alexandria to Marsa Matrouh, so keep an umbrella handy if you are in these areas.

The Greater Cairo area and the Nile Delta will see highs of 20-21 degrees Celsius and lows of 11-12 degrees throughout the week, according to the Egyptian Metrological Authority. 

The North Coast will see highs of 18-19 degrees and lows of 12-13 degrees.

South Sinai – home to Nuweibaa and Sharm El-Sheikh on the Red Sea – will see highs of 23-25 degrees and lows of 14 degrees, so you can pack a t-shirt or two.

The Upper Egypt cities of Luxor and Aswan will see highs of 26-28 degrees and lows of 9-11 degrees, so pack several t-shirts if you are heading south.
