Moderate weather and sunshine are expected nationwide in the coming days after the country had seen a cold spell throughout the past week, the EMA added.

However, cold weather will persist at night, the EMA added, warning of morning fog on highways and chances of rain in the North Coast, which includes Alexandria and Matrouh governorates.

Moderate weather during daytime is felt across Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, and the North Coast, while Upper Egypt and South Sinai -- where Sharm El-Sheikh is located -- are seeing warmer days.

At night, Central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt, which includes Beni Suef, Fayoum, and Minya, will continue to be hit by chilly weather.

The EMA expects light rain on the North Coast on Monday and Tuesday and wind in South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt over the week.

Temperatures

Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta will see highs of 19-21 degrees Celsius and lows of 11-12 degrees from Monday to Saturday.

The North Coast from Alexandria to Matrouh near the Libyan border will see highs in the higher 10s and lows of 12-13.

South Sinai will see highs in the mid-20s and lows in the mid-10s.

Northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 21-22  and lows of 7-8.

Southern Upper Egypt, which includes Qena, Luxor, Aswan, and Sohag, will see highs of 25-28 and lows of 11-12 degrees.
