The three-day event is being held under the sponsorship of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi as part of the “Break your Record” initiative.

The exhibition will also introduce international products, making their debut in the region, in addition to exclusive offers on sports equipment for professional athletes and sports enthusiasts across the spectrum of age groups, lifestyles, and abilities.

Egypt is keen on modernising the sports infrastructure, Madbouly said during the opening, stressing that the Expo would work to benefit Egypt’s citizens as well as allow the country to host major world championships of various sports.

He added that Egypt wishes to take advantage of the global sports scene to attract investors.

This comes in the context of several countries’ increasing reliance on the sports industry to drive their economic development, the prime minister confirmed.

Egypt gives special attention to the sports sector as part of efforts to improve Egyptians’ health and increase their cultural and scientific awareness, he affirmed.
