Thursday is a paid national holiday to allow everyone a three-day holiday to celebrate labour Day, in lieu of last Monday which was a work day.
Here is what you should expect based on the Egyptian Meteorological Authority forecast.
If you are heading to the North Coast for the three-day holiday, expect slightly more temperate weather: Alexandria and Marsa Matrouh will see 32 degrees Celsius.
Expect warmer 35-degrees weather if you are heading to Sharm El-Sheikh or Dahab in South Sinai!
At night, lows will be 18 for the Greater Cairo area, 22 for the North Coast, 23 in South Sinai and 23 for Luxor and Aswan.
What about the weekend?
Over the weekend, temperatures are expected be cool across the country starting Friday and will remain so thru Monday.
Temperatures will drop by seven degrees Celsius in the Cairo Greater area and northern Upper and by nine degrees in the North Coast.
However, it will remain very warm in Luxor and Aswan.
At night, you can expect 16-17 degrees Celsius in the Greater Cairo area and the North Coast – so you might need a jacket.
Lows will be around 20 degrees in South Sinai and the deep south of the country.
