Pope Tawadros II, the Pope of Alexandria and head of the Coptic Orthodox Church, meets with Archbishop of the Catholic Church Monsignor Mario Delpini in Milan on Tuesday.
Tawadros's visit to the archdiocese came as part of his visit to the Vatican to commemorate 50 years of relations between the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church.
Pope Tawadros II praised Archdiocese of Milan's rich history, profound testimony and its benevolent Christian message.
For his part, Archbishop Delpini expressed his admiration for the Coptic Church's dedication to the welfare of children."
"The Coptic Church strives to take care of its youth and to raise a pious generation that serves the Church as well as society," Tawadros said.
Last week, Tawadros met with Pope Francis in the Vatican.
