The application will be accessible through the ministry's Office of Admission to Public Universities website, the ministry added.

Initially, this option will be available for Egyptian students enrolled in the Thanaweya Amma system whose exams are taking place from 12 June to 13 July.

For students with equivalent certificates, separate application dates will be announced after the release of their results.

Thanaweya Amma is a critical examination for Egyptian students, as it plays a pivotal role in determining their future opportunities for university admission and specialization.

Some national universities in Egypt require Thanaweya Amma students to pass an aptitude test to secure admission to their faculties. The ministry's statement also provides a comprehensive list of the faculties that will implement this requirement for the current academic year.

Faculties requiring an aptitude test:

1. Fine arts in specialties of arts and architecture.

2. Applied Arts in Helwan, Damietta, Banha, and Beni Sweif universities.

3. Music education in Zamalek at Helwan University.

4. Art education in Zamalek at Helwan University.

5. Art education at Minya University.

6. Physical education.

7. Art education, music education, and theatre education at Mansoura University.

9.  Music education in Ismailia at Suez Canal University.

Application procedures

To begin the application process, students must visit the aptitude test registration page on the public admissions website. They will have to provide their national ID number and Thanaweya Amma code.

Once the student's data is confirmed, they can proceed to select their preferred test, date, and venue from the available options. After making their choices, the students will receive a confirmation of their registration.

Each student is allowed only one attempt at an aptitude test for a specific programme. If the student does not achieve the desired outcome, they will not be able to retake the test at another faculty.
