The top performers are students who got 70.61 percent or more in the literature track, 88.29 percent in science, and 83.41 percent in mathematics, the Ministry of Education said in a statement today.
Minimum grades for the first phase of tansik (the public university enrollment system) this school year of 2022/2023 are only slightly different from those of the previous year.
This first phase kicks off on Saturday morning and ends at 7:00pm on Wednesday on the ministry’s tansik website.
Students can submit their preferences via any computer with internet connection or at laboratories at universities nationwide from 9:00am to 3:00pm every day.
The tansik website shows the minimum grades for acceptance at each college in the previous years to help students in their choices, the ministry noted.
Results will be announced on the website later and tansik office’s final nomination cards for students of this phase will be issued after the second phase.
The most desired faculties include medicine, dentistry, and pharmacy in the science branch; petroleum and mineral engineering and other engineering branches in mathematics; and mass communication, alsun (languages) and economy and political science in the literature branch.
Thanaweya Amma results for 759,676 students who joined exams this year were released on Monday with an overall success rate of 78.8 percent.
Students can get the results via their seating number through the specialized link on Al-Ahram and other news portals that offer this service and will have a two-week window to appeal their grades starting Thursday.
