Third phase of Thanaweya Amma tansik in Egypt runs through Friday

Thanaweya Amma students (high school seniors) who have attained a minimum score of 50 percent can apply for the third phase of tansik – the public university enrollment system – and submit their college preferences Wednesday through Friday, according to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Applicants have a three-day window to register via the tansik website.

Submissions are also open for students who were eligible for but could not participate in the first and second phases.

The third stage has attracted a total of 50,983 applicants from both the literature and science divisons.

Literature students can select from approximately 360 faculties and institutions.

Science students, in either the mathematics or natural science tracks, can apply to roughly 500 colleges and institutions.

In the second tansik phase, preferences were submitted by students who secured an overall score of 60.98 percent or higher in the science division and 58.5 percent or higher in the literature division.

In the first tansik phase, 112,240 students with the highest grades submitted their preferences

For the 2022/2023 school year, a grand total of 759,676 students took the Thanaweya Amma exams, yielding an overall success rate of 78.8 per cent.
