The country has been gripped by a brief hot spell, set to peak on Friday, with the weather improving by Saturday, the EMA reported in its weekly bulletin.
Highs in Greater Cairo and Nile Delta governorates will drop from 35-37 degrees Celsius to 31-30 degrees from Sunday to Tuesday.
Lows will also drop from 25-26 degrees to 21-22 degrees.
On the North Coast, high temperatures will drop to 29-28 degrees, down from 30-32 degrees, and low temperatures will drop to 21-22 degrees, down from 23-24 degrees.
Highs in South Sinai will drop from 40 degrees to 39-36 degrees, and lows from 27-26 degrees to 23-24 degrees.
High temperatures in Northern Upper Egypt will drop by 2 degrees to record 31-34 degrees Sunday through Tuesday. Lows will remain unchanged, however, ranging from 22 to 23 degrees.
In Southern Upper Egypt, high temperatures will drop by 3-6 degrees Celsius to 42 degrees on Monday and 39 degrees on Tuesday, down from 45.
Lows will remain almost the same at 26-27 degrees.
The EMA also expected rainfall in Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta governorates, and the North Coast for three consecutive days starting Sunday.
It also expected intermittent rainfall in northern Upper Egypt and the far south of Upper Egypt.
