Chance of drizzle won’t keep hot temperatures away from Egypt this week

Temperatures across Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will be warm Sunday through Friday, but things will be a fair bit hotter in Upper Egypt and South Sinai, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) reported on Sunday.

The EMA also predicts a 20-30 percent chance of intermittent light rainfall on the northwest coast, the Western Desert, and Upper Egypt.

Light rain is also possible in North Sinai on Monday, the said.

Commuters should be wary of fog over roads and highways across central Sinai and the Suez Canal cities.

Temperatures:
 

Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta will experience highs of 29-30 degrees Celsius Sunday through Friday.

The North Coast will see highs of 27-28 in the same timeframe.

Northern Upper Egypt will experience highs ranging from 30-33 degrees.

Southern Upper Egypt will see the hottest weather this week, with highs of 41-44 degrees.

South Sinai will see highs ranging between 33-36 degrees.
