Greater Cairo is set to experience moderate autumn weather with slight chances of rainfall for the northern coasts and Nile Delta governorates – good news for autumn lovers but not so much for vacationers, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) reported on Tuesday.

According to the EMA’s weather forecast for Tuesday, the maximum expected temperature is 29 degrees Celsius in the Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt area.

The North Coast is also expected to witness temperature highs of 27 degrees Celsius.

The latest EMA satellite images caught gatherings of low and medium rain clouds over various areas of the North Coast and northern Lower Egypt, accompanied by rainfall of varying intensity.

The EMA predicts highs of 32 degrees Celsius in South Sinai, 30 degrees Celsius in northern Upper Egypt, and 34 degrees Celsius in southern Upper Egypt.

Mist at 4-7 in the morning is expected to hover over highways and agriculture roads close to water surfaces around Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, eastern coasts, Suez Canal cities, and central Sinai.

Temperatures Wednesday through Sunday

Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta will experience 28-29 degrees Celsius highs.

South Sinai will see highs ranging between 31 and 32 degrees Celsius.

After Tuesday's rainfall, beachgoers will be pleased to know that the North Coast will have consistent and moderate weather of 26-28 degrees Celsius.

Conversely, northern Upper Egypt will experience 30-31 degrees Celsius highs.

Temperature highs in southern Upper Egypt are expected to be 33-34 degrees Celsius.

While Wednesday is predicted to have pleasant weather, the EMA expects a 20 percent chance of rainfall on Thursday for areas south of the Nile Delta and the canal cities.

Meanwhile, South Sinai will experience intervals of wind activity.
