The blood donation campaign was launched in solidarity with Palestinians affected by the ongoing violence in Gaza, Sobhy explained, as per the ministry's statement.
Donated blood will be used to treat injured individuals and save lives, as part of Egypt's consistent efforts to support Palestinians, he added.
More than 27,000 Palestinians have been injured since 7 October, according to a report by the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza on Friday.
The death toll for Palestinians has reached 11,025 Palestinians including 4,506 children, 3,027 women, and 678 senior citizens.
