The rainfall will also be accompanied by cold conditions during the daytime and chilly nights.

The EMA also expects dust and sand-stirring winds in Greater Cairo, the North Coast, South Sinai, and Lower Egypt intermittently.

As for the temperature forecast, highs ranging from 20 to 22 degrees Celsius and lows of 13-16 degrees are expected in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the North Coast from Wednesday to Monday.

Highs of 25-27 degrees and lows of 16-17 degrees are expected in South Sinai, according to the EMA.

Northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 22-23 degrees and lows of 9-11 degrees.

Warmer weather is expected in southern Upper Egypt’s governorates (Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, and the Red Sea) with highs ranging from 25 to 26 degrees. Nights will be cold though, with temperatures ranging from 12 to 15 degrees.

Drivers are advised to be careful in the morning as fog is anticipated on roads in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, Suez Canal cities, Sinai, and Upper Egypt on Friday from 4am to 8am.
