Interested candidates may apply through the official government job portal 18-31 January, according to a statement by the CAOA.
Applicants must meet the following main criteria:
- Egyptian citizenship.
- No previous criminal convictions unless rehabilitated.
- Not dismissed from service due to a final disciplinary decision within the last four years.
- Age not exceeding 40 years at the time of the advertisement.
- Graduates of basic education/ elementary education/ classroom teacher sections at education or special education faculties.
- General graduation grade for the applicant (acceptable) or higher.
- Successfully pass the required tests.
- Apply only in the province of residence, as stated on the applicant's national ID.
Applicants should submit the required documents, all in original colour jpg format, including a personal photo, valid national ID (both sides), a current criminal record certificate, academic qualifications, higher qualifications if any, military status for males or public service for females, and proof of disability and integrated services if applicable.
Additionally, an official bank receipt of the payment should be submitted.
The recruitment posting comes amid a shortage of teachers in Egypt, which UNICEF officials recently highlighted for being one of the top challenges facing the education system in the country.
To fill this shortage gap, the education ministry plans to appoint 30,000 teachers annually for the next few years.
