Many parts of Egypt are expected to witness cold, windy weather and thunder rainfall during next week, with lower temperature degrees, especially at night, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).

On Saturday and Sunday, Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh, Damietta, and Port Said are expected to witness medium to heavy – and possibly thunder – rains until evening.

In Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, the Suez Canal, and northern Upper Egypt, strong wind loaded with dust and sand is also expected intermittently.

The wind activity will cause disruptions in maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea, with wave heights of 2.5-3.5 m.

On Monday through Thursday, morning fog is anticipated to come down the agricultural roads and highways leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, Suez Canal cities, Sinai, and Upper Egypt over the coming five days.

Light rainfall and strong wind are also expected in the North Coast and Lower Egypt governorates.

As for the temperature forecast, highs of 17-20 degrees Celsius and lows of 8-11 degrees Celsius are expected in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the North Coast over the coming week.

South Sinai will see highs of 23-25 degrees and lows of 14-15 degrees.

Northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 18-21 degrees and lows of 4-6 degrees, while southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 22-26 degrees and lows of 8-10 degrees.
