The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects a rise in daytime temperatures by around 2-4 degrees Celsius starting from Wednesday. However, nights will still be a bit chilly, so keep heavy clothes at hand.
Right after the weekend, there could be light to moderate rain in Cairo, the Nile Delta, and the North Coast, home to Alexandria and Matrouh on Sunday. But don’t let that dampen your spirits as the rain chances are slim.
Most areas will continue to experience rising temperatures through Saturday, but Cairo and the North Coast are expected to cool down again on Sunday.
In Cairo, Saturday will see highs of 23 and lows of 14, while the North Coast will reach highs of 22 and lows of 12. In Southern Upper Egypt, encompassing the beauties of Aswan and Luxor, you can enjoy warmer weather, with highs of 26 and lows of 12 on Saturday.
Heading northeast to Sharm El-Sheikh and Dahab in South Sinai, the weather will keep rising until Sunday, with highs of 27 and lows of 16. As for northern Upper Egypt, home to Beni Suef and Fayoum, temperatures will reach highs of 24 and lows of 8.
Also, frost might form in the agricultural areas of Central Sinai and the New Valley governorate.
The EMA gave a heads-up to drivers about foggy weather during the weekend in the early morning. So, if you are hitting the agricultural roads or highways leading to or from Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, the North Coast, Suez Canal cities, Central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt, be sure to slow down and take extra precautions.
The EMA keeps updating its weather information via its Facebook page constantly but that’s it for now. So, enjoy your weekend!
