Ahram Online , Sunday 18 Feb 2024

Except for possible light showers on Sunday in northern cities, it might be wise to consider a lighter wardrobe this week until Friday as Egypt experiences a gradual improvement in weather with warmer daylight conditions and cool nights.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects weather to be warmer during mornings in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and the North Coast, but be careful not to pack away your heavy jackets yet since cold nights and early mornings are forthcoming across the country.

Early morning drivers need to be careful on highways, where a possibly heavy fog will obstruct vision in most regions around Egypt.

Greater Cairo is forecasted to face highs starting at 19 and reaching 23 degrees Celsius by the end of the week and lows of 12-13 degrees Celsius.

This weekend seems perfect for a getaway to South Sinai beaches, with highs of 24-29 degrees Celsius and lows of 15-17 degrees this week Celsius.

There is a 40 percent possibility of light to moderate rain hitting the North Coast, with highs of 18-22 degrees Celsius and lows of 10-22 degrees Celsius.

Northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 21-28 degrees Celsius and lows of 7-9 degrees Celsius, while southern Upper Egypt will witness highs of 24-30 degrees Celsius and lows of 11-13 degrees Celsius.
