38 students injured in circus seating collapse in Egypt’s New Valley

An unfortunate incident occurred on Monday in Egypt's New Valley governorate as the seating of a circus collapsed, while a group of students were attending a performance, resulting in 38 injuries.

All the injured individuals were transported to El-Kharga Specialized Hospital in the southwestern governorate.

Governor Mohamed Al-Zamalout confirmed that the students sustained minor injuries.

In response, the governor directed the officials to close the circus and initiated an investigation into the incident.

Hanan Magdy, the governor’s deputy, and Mohamed Abu El-Leil, the governorate’s security director, visited the students to ensure they received the necessary treatment.

They reassured the families that the students’ conditions were stable.
