The holiday will run from Tuesday 9 April till Sunday 14 April, matching the break provided to public sector employees.
The labour ministry said it seeks to unify official holiday dates for all employees across various sectors, whenever possible, to promote social cohesion and national bond during the celebration, allowing people to spend time with their families and friends.
Eid Al-Fitr is a religious feast celebrated by Muslims worldwide.
It marks the end of the holy month of fasting, Ramadan.
This year, Ramadan in Egypt and other countries lasts 30 days with Eid Al-Fitr starting Wednesday, according to astronomical calculations.
However, the exact starting date will be officially determined by Egypt's Dar Al-Ifta after sighting the Shawwal crescent following the Maghrib prayer on Tuesday.
Eid Al-Fitr is one of the two religious holidays in Islam, along with Eid Al-Adha, which falls on the tenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar.
